The Regional and Union 26 School Committees are pleased to announce that Dr. E. Xiomara Herman has accepted the position of ARPS superintendent. Dr. Herman’s contract was approved by the joint committees on May 17, 2024 and her first day will be July 1, 2024.

Superintendent Finalists Announced

On March 26, the Regional School Committee and the Union 26 School Committee approved three finalists for the superintendent position.  Please see the press release that was sent out on March 27.

February: Job posting closes

March: Search Committee reviews applicants, conducts interviews, and selects finalists


  • Finalist site visits and community interviews
  • Regional and Union 26 School Committees decide on final candidate and make job offer

July 1, 2024: New Superintendent first day on the job
