Regional Master Facilities Use Study

Home 5 Regional Master Facilities Use Study

The Amherst-Pelham Regional School District (APRS) is conducting a facility use study of the existing Regional Middle School and Regional High School.  JCJ Architecture has been chosen through the required RFP process to support the district in this endeavor.  In addition to evaluating the existing facilities conditions, JCJ is exploring alternative uses for both facilities, including the potential redistribution of students in grades 6 through 12.  The study will also include an analysis of the existing facilities, preliminary space use based on the existing curriculum, conceptual site and building diagrams for various design alternatives, and probable project costs associated with each alternative. This process is designed to gather information and develop potential models for use of the facilities.  It will not lead to a decision regarding any changes to the district; rather, it will inform potential next steps for the Regional School Committee around further engagement on the educational and other aspects of any of the models developed.

A Facility Use Advisory Board was appointed to provide feedback to assist the District and JCJ during the course of the study. The public is welcome at all meetings, which are scheduled as follows:

  • January 24, 2019 from 4:30-6:30
  • February 28, 2019 from 4:30-6:30
  • March 5, 2019 from 4:00-5:00 (Superintendent’s Office)
  • March 21, 2018 from 4:30-6:30
