As appropriate to the age of students, school government organizations may be formed to offer practice in self-government and to serve as channels for the expression of student ideas and opinions.
The Regional School Committee will take into consideration student opinions in establishing policies that directly affect student programs,activities, privileges, and other areas of student interest.
Students will be welcomed at Regional School Committee meetings and granted privileges of speaking in line with the privileges extended the general public.
Student School Committee
As required by state law, Chapter 71, Section 38M, the Regional School Committee will meet at least once every other month while school is in session with a student advisory committee, which is composed of five students elected by the high school student body.
The elected chair of the student advisory committee is encouraged to participate as a non-voting member of the Regional School Committee at all of its open meetings.
