VELA Shout Out

This is a shout out to our ARMS VELA program! Towards the end of May the VELA program had an end of year event that was hosted by VELA Students. There was music, games, FREE food and FREE T-shirts donated by Black Star Transit that were designed (by hand) by the VELA students. Wheelhouse Food truck provided DELICIOUS food. The menu was create by VELA students and represented the diverse cultures of the students. Project Backpack 2019

It's that time of year again! The ARPS Family Center is proud to announce that Project Backpack 2019 is currently underway. The successful community outreach program provides new backpacks and school supplies for income-eligible students in our schools. This year, nearly 900 students in Kindergarten to Grade 12 qualify to receive these items. In order to accumulate the tremendous amount of backpacks and supplies we need, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Michael Morris is appealing to organizations and individuals in our community for support and assistance. MMA 3rd Place Award

Congratulations to Ms. Grace Johnson!! She won 3rd place in this yrs Massachusetts Municipal Association’s 8th grade Essay Contest! "Her essay demonstrated the best understanding of local government and gave an original viewpoint to an issue affecting her community.
