Visit from Commissioner Riley

Commissioner Riley was visiting schools in western MA on Monday, December 10th. He visited Fort River to take questions from 4th and 6th graders and toured the building. Literacy Night

Last week, Fort River K-2 families were welcomed to our Literacy Night. Families made literacy activities together, played games, attended Fit Lit in the gym, and activated family library cards. In addition, families had the opportunity to set up e-book accounts. The night culminated with each student choosing a book to take home and an exciting raffle of signed books donated by the Eric Carle Museum.

ELPAC Nov 15th

We are reaching out in a variety of ways, but I'd ask you to please also share in whatever ways you can- post in your office or on your front door, send with a parent newsletter, etc.  We have sent the flyer to PGOs, are connecting with families via Remind app, and are sending home paper flyers.  Also, if you are looking for parent engagement in other aspects of your school, particularly from EL parents, I would love to cross promote and make fewer phone calls. I may be calling some families specifically for this and would be happy to share info about ways...
