For the fifth year in a row, the Wildwood 5th Grade proudly supported the March for the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts! Students have been learning about food insecurity in our region and how organizations like the Food Bank work to ensure everyone has enough to eat.
This week, Monte Belmonte, the March founder, visited the classroom to share how the Food Bank turns every $1 into THREE nutritious meals. On Tuesday, November 26th, students cheered on the March as it passed through Kendrick Park, showing their support for this vital cause.
Additionally, the 5th grade is sponsoring a food drive for the Amherst Survival Center. Families are encouraged to send in non-perishable foods to school. Collection boxes are located in the lobby and will be available over the next few weeks.
Together, we can make a difference in the fight against hunger!
