Lirey Rodriguez has been a valued member of the ARPS community since the 2019-2020 school year, but her connection to the district goes back even further. As an ARPS alumna, having attended Crocker Farm, Amherst Regional Middle School, and Amherst Regional High School, Lirey knows the community inside and out, and she brings that personal experience into her role each day.

Her colleagues describe her as someone who goes above and beyond, always ready to tackle challenges with a great attitude and quick problem-solving skills. Whether it’s helping a family or stepping up in the school, Lirey is a dependable presence in the high school.

Lirey finds inspiration in the community she serves, striving to be the kind of support person she wished she had as a student. “There’s nothing too little or too big that I’m not willing to do for our families and students,” she shares. This commitment to going above and beyond ensures that

students and families receive the care and support they need.

One of the highlights of Lirey’s job is watching students grow from 9th to 12th grade. She enjoys seeing them mature, find their voices, and ultimately walk across the stage at graduation—a special event she helps plan each year. “Even though it’s an extremely stressful time, the end result is worth it,” Lirey says. Though her role doesn’t allow for as much daily interaction as teachers and paras have, the short moments of connection she shares with students are incredibly rewarding.

Lirey Rodriguez’s dedication to the students and families of ARPS, along with her personal connection to the community, makes her an essential part of the high school team.
