The Amherst-Pelham Regional School District is proud to spotlight Giselle González Vendrell, a dedicated first-grade teacher at Pelham Elementary School who has been profoundly impacting students and colleagues for over 12 years. Giselle’s commitment to her students and her school community makes her a beloved figure at Pelham Elementary.
Giselle’s colleagues describe her as a passionate educator with unwavering student support. “She encourages others to be proud of their heritage and who they are as humans,” one colleague shared. “It is an honor to work alongside her, call her my friend, and see the lives she inspires.”
Giselle finds her inspiration in the curiosity and joy of her students, as well as in the dedication of her fellow teachers. “When students are having fun, they learn the most, and I enjoy teaching the most,” Giselle explains. “Teachers inspire me when I see how hard they work to make learning meaningful and enjoyable for all students. Both teachers and students make me want to be a better teacher! When I think about the possibilities awaiting my students, I feel hopeful.”
One of Giselle’s greatest joys is being part of the Pelham Elementary community. She values the strong partnerships between families, teachers, and staff that make the school a special place to work. “We have a small but mighty school that takes pride in our work. Families work alongside the staff and teachers to help meet all students’ needs. I would not change a thing about Pelham! I love working here!” Giselle shares.
Giselle González Vendrell’s dedication to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment, both in her classroom and within the broader school community, continues to leave a lasting impact on everyone at Pelham Elementary. Her passion for education and her pride in her heritage inspire those around her, making her an integral part of the Pelham family.
