Elaine Caraballo has been a member of the ARPS community for nearly eight years, serving as the welcoming face and voice of Fort River Elementary School. As the first person many families see or hear when they arrive at school, Elaine’s calming and understanding presence sets the tone for a positive experience. Her bilingual skills are a vital asset to the school, especially as Fort River is home to the Caminantes dual language program, supporting both English and Spanish-speaking families.
Elaine’s colleagues speak highly of her patience and kindness, especially during the busy arrival and dismissal times. “Elaine is always ready and willing to support students, families, and staff as they navigate all things school-related,” one colleague shared. “Her ability to make everyone feel heard and supported is truly impressive.”
Elaine finds inspiration in using her knowledge and cultural background to connect with the Hispanic community at Fort River. “I feel inspired when I’m able to use my knowledge and culture to connect with and include the Hispanic community in school,” she says. Her dedication to fostering a sense of belonging for all families is evident in her daily interactions.
What Elaine enjoys most about her work is the joy she sees in her students. “I love seeing the smiley faces of my students,” she shares. Her commitment to creating a welcoming environment for everyone at Fort River makes her an invaluable part of the school community.
Elaine Caraballo’s dedication to inclusivity, her warm and supportive nature, and her passion for connecting with families makes her a true asset to Fort River Elementary and the entire ARPS community.
