Dr. Kerrita Mayfield
e are excited to highlight Dr. Kerrita Mayfield, a dedicated educator who has been with the Amherst, Pelham, and Amherst-Pelham Regional School Districts for approximately six years.
Dr. Mayfield finds inspiration in the boundless potential of every child. To her, each student is a bundle of possibilities, and every day presents a new opportunity to make an impact—whether through history, science, or any subject that fuels curiosity. (And if you ask her, science is the best!)
What she loves most about her work at ARPS is the diverse community of students and families. From rural and suburban backgrounds to multilingual households, she values the wide range of perspectives and aspirations that shape the learning environment. She especially appreciates seeing students’ creativity and watching them explore their many possible futures—whether that be college, careers, or other exciting pathways.
