There is no parking in the marked fire lanes next to the building. We must maintain ready access for emergency vehicles. This rule holds even if the parking lot is really crowded and you can’t find a space! From the East, via the turnpike: Take I-90 (Mass Pike) west to Exit 8 (Palmer). Turn left onto Route 32. After the shopping center and the underpass, bear left up the slope with the cemetery on your left. As you come down the hill, go to the right of the convenience store and straight over the tracks. Continue straight, eventually coming onto Route 181. Continue on Route 181 through Bondsville and on into Belchertown. (Note that Route 181 turns twice in the village of Bondsville, so watch the route signs.) Stay on Route 181 into Belchertown Center, where continuing straight puts you on Route 202 North. Route 202 will soon cross Route 9. Turn left (west) on Route 9, at the traffic lights, and continue on into Amherst. Approaching the first traffic light (after crossing the Amherst town line) bear to the right of the bank and then turn right at the stop sign. You are now on East Street headed north. Turn left at the next light (Main Street) and continue several blocks. At the next traffic light, turn right onto Triangle Street. Then take the first street to the right (just before the playing field) and continue down to the school parking lot. From the East, via Route 2: Take Route 2 west to Route 202 south in Orange. Go south on Route 202 through several towns. At the top of Pelham Hill, there will be a white church building on your right. A sign (possibly a blinker) indicates the right hand turn to Amherst. Turn there and continue on down to Amherst. After the first traffic light, you will be on Main Street, continue several blocks. At the next traffic light, turn right onto Triangle Street. Then take the first street to the right (just before the playing field) and continue down to the school parking lot. From the South:Take I-91 north to Route 9 (exit 19, Amherst/Northampton). At the bottom of the ramp, turn right onto Route 9 East, cross the Connecticut River and continue through the town of Hadley. After the mall areas on your right, and the junction of Route 116 on your left you will pass a Stop and Shop shopping center on your left. Continue straight on into Amherst, heading up the hill. When you reach the lights at the Common (South Pleasant St.), turn left and go to the next set of lights, where you should turn right onto Main St. Turn left at the next traffic light. You are now on Triangle St. Take the first street to the right (just before the playing field) and continue down to the school parking lot. From the West, via Route 9: Take Route 9 East toward Northampton. To avoid traffic in the center of Northampton, take a left on Bridge Road, opposite Look Park. At the next set of lights, Bridge Road becomes Damon Road, which curves around and meets Route 9 again at the I-91 interchange. Turn left onto Route 9 at the lights. Cross the Connecticut River and continue through the town of Hadley. After the mall areas on your right, and the junction of Route 116 on your left you will pass a Stop and Shop shopping center on your left. Continue straight on into Amherst, heading up the hill. From the North: Take I-91 south to Exit 25 (Conway/Amherst). Turn left at the top of the ramp. You are now on Route 116 south. To stay on 116, you need to make several turns. At the first light, turn right. Go straight at the second light and pass Yankee Candle. At the third light, turn left. Now continue on Route 116 south over the Connecticut River and through the town of Sunderland. Just a little after Bub’s Barbecue (on your left) and the Amherst town line, take your first possible left. (There is no street sign here.) You are now headed south on Old Sunderland Road. When you reach a traffic light, turn left on to Pine Street. Follow this up a hill, and at the top, take a right on to East Pleasant Street. Stay on East Pleasant until you reach a traffic light, where you should turn left. You are now on Triangle Street. Continue straight until you pass the playing fields on the left. Then turn left and proceed to the school parking lot. During school hours, visitors should park in the marked visitor parking spaces in the front row of the parking lot.
