Policy LB: Relations with Other Schools and School Districts

  The School Committee will cooperate with other schools and with local, state, and regional agencies and organizations to:

  • Seek solutions to educational problems of common concern
  • Acquire federal and state grants
  • Promote local school system involvement in state and federal decision-making.
  • This cooperation may include among other areas of concern: research,providing transportation for students, purchasing, exchange ofinformation and data, the coordination of school activities and programsfor students and staff.

    Before joining any major cooperative programs, educationcollaboratives, or joint educational services with other school systems,the School Committee will be informed of the details of such a program.School Committee approval must be obtained for such program. Thisdoes not preclude small scale cooperative projects that are in the bestinterests of our school system and students to be approved by theSuperintendent only.
